All regular tours and activities are operating as scheduled with the exception of Blue Lagoon visits and Reykjanes tours. The volcanic activity is limited to an area on the Reykjanes peninsula, with no effects on the capital area or other areas in Iceland.

Lava Tube Caving & Adrenaline filled ATV excursion – Explore Iceland Below & above in one day!

There is much to see in Iceland, but only so much time. That’s where our combo tours help
you make the most of your time in Reykjavik… and what a combination – A fascinating
Lava tube cave followed by 1hr – adrenaline-filled ATV action in the mountains near Reykjavik.  

PART 1 – Raufarhólshellir Lava Tube Cave. 

More than 5,200 years ago was this magnificent lava cave was created, the cave formed as a lava
tube during the Leitahraun eruption and is the 4th largest lava tunnel
ever to be found in Iceland. Measuring 1360 meters at length and 10-30 meters
wide – depending on where you standing at. It's truly an incredible experience
to go inside the cave and see the natural colors around the cave that were
created in the volcanic formation of the tunnel. 

Our experienced guide will come to pick you up from your local accommodation in Reykjavik in the
morning, Pick up will start at 8:45 The drive to the cave is about 30
min outside Reykjavik. When arriving at the lava tube cave will our team dress
you up with a helmet and a torchlight before exploring the underworld.  

After the caving tour will you be brought back to your original pick up location where you
will have a short lunch break, we highly suggest grabbing lunch or going for a
city walk in between.  

The duration of the Lava tube caving will take 3hrs in total.  

PART 2 - 1hr Reykjavik Peak ATV adventure

Next up, is pick up by Safari Quads for the adrenaline-pumping 1hr Reykjavik Peak. Our highly trained 4x4 guides will come and
pick you up from your local accommodation at 13:00 and bring you to Safari
Quads basecamp – Where we will suit you up with warm gear and get you ready to
jump on the ATV and speed up the mountain yard near Reykjavik. On our 1hr
Reykjavik Peak will we drive with you past Hafravatn water and up Hafrafell mountain where waits you incredible
views above Reykjavik and the whole peninsula around. Sometimes on a clear day,
you can even see Snæfellsnes Glacier across the Ocean.
